  1. How many years have you been using a computer and what is your primary (wage earning) job?

Yes, TI-99's were computers as were Apple IIe's... And Yes, if you worked on the Eniac project in the 50's we'd love to know that.

I look forward to seeing what some of our fellow Videophiles do for a living.

  7. THat really depends on what you mean by "Using" I'm 26 now, but 20 years back, my dad always let me type away on whatever it is he had way back then. I use a PC now for my own business, which is running an ENglish language school in Japan...money all depends on the time of year, and how many students have enrolled.

Advertising and Mortgage Officer on the side. I do IT and helpdesk for the same brokerage firm. I've been working on computers for a looong time. I'm lucky to remember my name in the morning let alone remember the first computer I ever used. I think it was some kind of electric adding machine.

I had originally planned on going to med school for anesthesiology. But then I got a job @ the dental school and I like it a lot. I'm actually looking into oral surgery...for it, I'll go to dental school for 3 years and then med school for 1. After that all the facial restructure cases will come my way.

I don't know how long I've been using computers. I guess I started programming 17 or 18 years ago now. I currently work as a system and application server administrator. Right now I'm slaving away as a web application administration for a global corporation in the banking industry, working primarily with Apache, WebSphere, and WebLogic.

A computer part of my job goes back say 15-20 years ago in the financial Dept.

A little later I got myself an Amiga Computer at home.

I don't think Microsoft existed that far back when I was using mainframe database application and text was only as green with a dark background.

A little later in the Office, Microsoft arrived with Windows 3.1 and Word 6.

This so long ago and do tell me if I am wrong on Microsoft?
