    I am looking for a DVD recorder with a hard disk and an easy way to transfer media from the hard drive to my computer.

    I have looked at the excel spreadsheet posted here, but I can't find any which have an ethernet connection. My computer has ethernet and USB. I don't have firewire.

    Any suggestions?

    This Pioneer may work for you... it has a IEEE 1394 in/out DV terminal and a 80GB hard drive:

    Isn't that firewire? I don't have firewire on my computer. I would prefer one with ethernet, although I guess I could buy a PCI Firewire card.

    Panasonic or the new JVC come out this month it has a 160gig hard drive.
