    I checked out the section readme's and stuff finally

    My question is:
    Are you sure that the DivX/DVD (that is connected to a TV) player plays the movies?
    For example: XORO DVD/DiVX player HSD 311 that palys only the following:
    MPEG4/Xvid/SVCD/VCD/CD/MP3/CD_R/RW/JPEG- CD
    ?

  2. Oops, good question. Anyway at doom9 somebody reported that a DivX standalone (don't remember the model, maybe ELTA) based on MT chip can read these files.

    Heh! The plot thickens.

    So all this time you wanted to play the .AVI on a DivX/XviD capable standalone? Anyway, glad you got it to burn but since I don't want/use a standalone like that, it's out of my realm. Not sure if a player like that could handle Mode2, if that's what you used in the end. (We may never know... :P )
