I downloaded DVDx so I could follow the guide as im new to this and not having much luck with any software I have tried.
So, great guide followed it until the point when I choose AVI(DivX) and click pass setting, my setup is very different, so I noted it said using Koepi's DivX so clicked on the link and download and installed "XviD-1.0.1-05062004.exe" but still not the same as the guide.
Any Idea what is wrong, I'm totally lost now.
Thanks Tony

Ziggy_,
I don't see quite where you're going wrong - you are being asked to choose between XviD and DivX. These are different. DivX is made by DivX Networks, and XviD is open-source.
Koepi's DivX does not exist. It is Koepi's XviD. This is the official download link, which it looks like you got too:
http://www.roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml
I assume you're trying to get to XviD - in your encoder are you selecting this option as opposed to DivX?
