    I have been using Windows Movie Maker to Convert DV to *wmv but I have one short video clip that keeps crashing the program. I read here once that there is another program that is good at doing this conversion and its a lot more advance than Movie Maker. Unfortunately I forgot the name of it. Any help will be appreciated.

    Doesnt Movie Maker support AviSynth? I sometimes get read errors when converting DV with CCE, loading through AviSynth has always fixed that problem for me.

    Thanks for the tip. I never thought of that. I will give it a try next time.

    the funny thing is that after perhaps the 8th or 9th attempt. MovieMaker didn't crash. I changed nothing but it finally worked. Oh well, another one of those encoding mysteries.
