  1. I've got an .iso file created in DVD Workshop 2 that I need to burn some DVDs with (using Nero).

The file name needed altering so I renamed it in Windows and assumed that was that. However the burnt DVDs still have the original name and I can't see an option to change the name in Nero if you're using an .iso file (no problem if you're working from a video folder).

Incidentally Workshop gives you a box to fill in the volume name you want, but it doesn't seem to have any effect (and the use of that box isn't even mentioned in the handbook).

Any suggestions? There must be an answer to this!

Open the ISO in UltraISO, right-click the label and select rename.

Can't you use DVD Decrypter (ISO Write mode) to burn the iso to a DVD.

I don't think you can change the .iso extension but you can rename the label .

ie MOVIE.iso can easily be changed to TITLE.iso

And I think that will change the volume label on the disc.

Filenames and volume labels are two quite different things, hence the need for a thrd party app. To demonstrate, try renaming an .ISO with 255 characters (under Win32) and burn it. The filename will in no way translate to a 255 character volume label. To do the same thing with existing tools, you could rip the DVD and recreate the image using Nero, making sure to change the label at that point.
