I too been hook on both as a kid...
I regret not adding another option - "I dont care which one, both are good" -
I think it's important to state that I choose Pepsi. BUT...it depends.
If I am drinking just the softdrink then my choice is Pepsi.
If I am putting some Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, or some other spirits in it...then my choice is coke. (I usually drink whiskey straight but my wife wusses out on me and wants hers mixed) -
Favourite cola would have to be Pepsi, preferably Pepsi Max because I'm so extreme.
If I have to drink Coke though I choose to drink Diet Coke. In my opinion it doesn't taste as artificial as regular coke. -

Of course looking at two colas and calling either LESS artifical is kinda funny if you think about it, these days at least.
To each their own I guess... -
Coke is too damn sweet. It makes me gag. Pepsi here
-
Always been Pepsi, although I have now developed a taste for Vanilla Pepsi.

Water, unless it's alcohol in which case a good single malt, 10 years or more.
I like Dr. Pepper and I can stand Coke/Pepsi etc. but I always just go for plain water. Doesn't matter if it's bottled or tapwater - all goes the same way!
Cobra -
Cream Soda rarely. I hate coke and rarely drink any soda. Usually tea or soymilk for me... not that I am a hippie, I just like the taste.

Im surprised 3 out of 10 ppl dont drink coke or pepsi
Its gotta be some geek factor with users of this boardcoz I was sure (and I did bet the whole canadian loonie against $1 USD) that 90% of people drink either one or both... My second bet was more Pepsi than Coke drinkers (due to 'cooler' Pepsi commercials in past 10 years) - and I won this bet
THX everyone for voting in this poll! -

dr pepper is nice, but leaves an aftertaste. pepsi is nice but makes your teeth furry. coke is good. vodka has to go in coke, or be mixed with baileys. or if i've had a hard day i chug it out the bottle. my main drink is tea though, PG tips (or at a push Tetleys) with a little milk. it's what i drink first thing in the morning and last thing at night. other people in the house only drink coffee, which i sometimes drink too - white with two sugars.
like cobra i also drink a lot of water. like at lunch, i have a cup of tea with my lunch and then a big glass of water before i go back to work. i also take water to bed with me. i also drink water if i'm out walking or cycling - anything else leaves my mouth feeling thick and saliva-y. -
Coke...it has a more bitter taste, where as pepsi has a sweeter taste

Here's a fun science test my techer did for my way back in the 7th grade. He made 4 circuits using standard copper wire and flashlight bulbs. He also made a battery basin using metal plates and I think they were coffefilters (to keep the plates seperated). Basically making a battery for an experiment. In one circuit he put stirred salt water and the bulb came on dimly. In another He used Coke, and the bulb didn't seem to come on at all. The third one he used Barqs rootbeer and the bulb came on dimly, similar to the saltwater. He used Pepsi on the fourth and the bulb came on very brightly. My teacher said, "Use any coke product and the light is either very dim or doesn't come on at all. Use any pepsi product and the bulb shines brightly every time.
Kindda makes you wonder what they put in the softdrinks. After that I only drink Coke products and I can't stand colas. I usually drink Sprite, 7-Up, Minute Maid Orange, Crush, Sierra Mist, Mtn. Dew, etc. (usually clear or fruity soda) -

But no soda/pop (or whatever you call it in your area) nothing beats real orange or ruby red grapefruit juice freshly squeezed by yourself 8) -
Frostie brand Root Beer & Cherry Limeade 8)
Even a fool can be wise, all he has to do is keep his mouth shut -
Root Beer
The best I ever tasted was Dad's Root Beer when I lived in Chicago. We can't get it out here though :P

Bit of trivia: "Jay's" potato chips started out as "Mrs. Japp's" potato chips, and was changed shortly after WW2 started -
Want some other cool trivia? Read the back of an IBC Root Beer bottle. That's a pretty cool company. I got pulled over by a cop in NY because he thought I was chugging a real brown bottle when he pulled up next to me. "Yes officer, this IS a non-alcoholic beverage." (just don't look in the trunk).
