what is the good of that warning sign? if a cow hits your car you're fucked whether you saw the sign or not!

You'll find signs like that in the middle of nowhere.

The similar sign I saw (depicting a cow pushing over a car) was on the South Australia / Queensland border when I was at a gas refinery and they were the only thing around for a few hundred miles. A short drive for them was 2 or 3 hours minimum.

80% of people living in Australia would never encounter a sign like that. Plus you Brits seem to love swimming in those creeks with the "DO NOT SWIM HERE - CROCODILE INFESTED WATERS" signs.

I never saw signs like that in AU. Of course I was in Sidney the entire time. I did see a strange sign that showed a wheelchair on a dclining ramp with an open crocidile's mouth at the bottom. I thought it was saying, "Beware, handicapped Man eating croc at bottom of ramp". I'll see if I can find the pic and post it.
