  1. I've just recently started using a Dazzle 150 and the Moviestar 5.3 software that came with it and I am capturing in Mpeg 2. Problem is that each time I try to capture a video that is longer than 1hour and 7 min, Moviestar splits it. I know why it does this but the fact that I am using Windows XP means that the 4G limit does not apply. I have used DVD2One to rejoin these files after using TMPEGEnc DVD Author to make the Video_ts file but no matter how many times I try the join is always apparent unlike other DVD rips that I have joined. Therefore, I would like to be able to capture a video as 1 file. Does anyone know what program is best to capture video as 1 file (regardless of the size) using the Dazzle 150. I tried Pinnacle Studio 8 but I keep getting an error message when I select the Dazzle as the capture device. Roxio Media Center 7 gives me an error as well. Any help will be appreciated.

  2. Hi

I found the best way to capture with the DVC 150 is to use 'Dvxcel'.(This is the test utility that is with moivestar) .

You will need a patch to capture more than 1 hr 7mins which I can send you. This will enable you to capture 8.5 Gig approx 2hrs 45mins.

You will have to capture without preview with Dvxcel but I have had great results. Then I also use TMPEGEnc DVD Author to burn but each dvd only holds 1hr 15mins. You will also need the latest drivers, link below........
