Need more information. What programs are you using? What type of file; SVCD? You may be able to overburn, depending on your burner and burner program. If you were using an image file, you can get at least 830MB on a 700MB CD.

  4. i am betting you are trying to burn it as a video cd, so you can play it in your dvd player? well the only way you are going to burn that avi file is in data mode and that won't play in your dvd player.

  7. As I read on your post I dont think you are going for DVD, noticed you say you want to put it on 700MB disk. So first thing if you want DVD video you need a DVD writer and 4.7GB disks. If what you have is a CD writer what you are looking for is VCD, so go to the convertion section and look for guides on changing avi to VCD or SVCD is your DVD player can handle them.

    hope this helps

Use a program called dvd2svcd. You will also need tmpgenc or cinema craft encoder. there are guides to use these programs located to the left of your screen.

Also it's probably going to take 2 discs.
