Hi,
Can anyone tell me how and what software is required to copy my DVD's to a harddrive and then stream them over my 54g wireless network.

you can use any of these dvd rippers to rip to your hard drive. i would suggest using DVD Shrink to copy to the hard drive, as you can reduce the size of the dvd and put more on your hard drive.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I have downloaded DVD shrink and DVD ripper, if all I want to rip and shrink is the main movie in English with no subtitles, how do I find out which file I need.

Thanks Guys,
I've now got 4 titles on the disc, it seems a lot of hassle just to be able to store a DVD on a HD, I'm not that fussed about the size @4-5 Gb per film but I think I'll play about trying to convert them to avi's. Once again any help as to settings and prefered programmes would be of great help.
At the moment im using DVD decrypter, DVD shrink and am about to try Auto GK.

If you use a MPEG-4 codec (such as DivX or Xvid) along with a high enough resolution (640x480 is considered full screen for this format) you will get a VERY nice quality copy ... just be sure to use a really high bitrate.
Even if you are a quality nut and use an extremely high bitrate (say around 2000kbps video bitrate which is high for MPEG-4 codecs) you should be able to at least cut your DVD movies down in half if not less in size.

I have been storing DVD's on my hard drive using DVD decrypter to create an iso image file and then playing them with power DVD after mounting the image on a virtual drive using deamon tools. This seems to work ok but can take up alot of hard drive space. There is a guide out there for this.
