in virtualdub you can select it in the frame rate bit, can't remember the options and no tools at work (yet ) but look and you will find it

  2. That's good. I know there is a framerate adjust section there, but I didn't know it would auto-drop frames for you.

I'll go and take the film sometime soon (revision...) and deal with it.

Should we start a new thread off for it?

Hmmmm ...the retro Harley/Indian look. A very big bike Well, maybe not too big, since it is a 750. That's a good size for city and country riding.

I say stick with Harley. Honda's are probably the most decent foreign bike, but I've had so many problems with foreign bikes. I don't own a Harley anymore, but I used to have a 1942 Harley (I think). It used to be my grandfathers which he got brand new and had kept it for a lot of years. I had to do a lot of work on it myself, including sanding, repainting, new chain, wheels, tires, exhaust, etc. It was a good thing I got it for free. I could have bought a working used one for just a little more. The motor and frame just needed cleaning up and it was fine. This is the same motorcyle my grandfather was pulled over by a cop with because the cop said his headlamp was too bright.(My grandfather had to replace his 100w with a 75w motorcycle bulb) Sounds like that cop has never been out in the sun.

  7. aside from costing 3 times as much all the guys I know who have Harley's spend more time working on them than riding them.

Most of the guys I know who work on their Harley's just work on them for fun. No major problems. Once my Harley was put together, I didn't have to do anything to it. I only had to work on it because it was stored on a barn for 20+ years because the gas tank got a leak and my grandfather never got around to fixing it. Everything just rusted over as time passed. I know people who spend more time trying to fix their Honda because it breaks down on them constantly.

  9. Are you kidding? Honda's are some of the best built bikes available. My dad's has 25,000 miles on his and has never done anything except change the oil, replace the front brakes and put gas in it.

Everyone I have ever known whos ownded Honda's have never had any problems with them. Sport bikes, cruisers, quads, you name it.

I'm not looking to get into a flame match about the bikes. This is just the experience I've had and information from people I;ve talked to. I also had a Honda that was brand new and I ended up taking it to the dealer 4 times because of problems in the first year. When I went in for the 4th time, I told them to transfer everything over to a new car instead. That's partially how we got our Chrysler Concorde. That Honda was crap. I have a friend now who's got his Honda for sale because he's put so much money into parts to fix it, that he doesn't want to deal with it anymore. There are some nice older models of Honda that I like, but from experience I just won't buy another Honda bike. I won't buy a Honda Car either.

  11. Neither am I. I'm just really surprised to hear someone say that. Seriously you are the first person that I have ever heard of to suggest a Harley is more reliable than a Honda. Anyway I like Harley's, just can't afford one, I want a new bike so used wouldn't be an option either.

I do think that Harley's are expensive. Sometimes I wonder why anything in America is expensive at all. We should be making products more inexpensive, faster, safer, higher quality & reliability, and still turn a major profit. Damn money grubbing Americans that we are have to get the most profit by making products to the bare minimum of quality and safety, at the pace we feel comfortable with in our lazy environment, with a reliability that lasts only as long as the warranty. Some companies in the US do better in everything they make, and those are the companies I usually continue to buy products from. Harley just happens to be one of the companies I have had good products from.

At the risk of getting dangerously close to discussing politics, this isn't really politics. It's more economics.

You can thank the unions in this country for insisting that a high-school graduate ought to be getting $35/hour starting pay to mount muffler clamps on a Detriot assembly line all day, while teachers and policemen get something closer to $20/hour to start. That's why we can't build better products here - it's too damn expensive

    $20.00/hr

Teachers in ohio start around $23,000 a year. It varies from school to school but that's pretty close. When I started 8 years ago starting salary was $18,900...if each student in my class would pay me $10.00 a week that would almost double my salary. But that would make for a $280.00 a month payment for a 7 period a day student...what kind of priorities would that represent? I make $16.79 an hour after 8 years WTF was I thinking

I didn't think it was politics. But going on with economics, did you hear the thought from the Federal Reserve and Greenspan along with the Economic Growth Commission, they want to raise minimum wage to $10 an hour. You want to see inflation. The president is trying to veto it because it'll cause such a horrific service/product inflation this countries has never even dreamed of. High schooler's would like it, briefly.

I didn't think a fairly well-populated state like Ohio would start teachers that low. That's obscene That's below the poverty line isn't it? At least if you have kids that's gotta be. Well, that's the point I was making. A UAW member-employee wouldn't be worrying about health care or making the month's rent payment, but teachers have to. What's wrong with this picture? Crazy priorities in this country. *RANT MODE OFF*
