I did the general mistake and istalled all the codecs and codec-packs I could find.
At one point I had 93 codecs installed....
With Add/Remove I got rid of some of them, and I now have 58 left (Gspot tells me)
And I can't seem to get rid of them.
I've tried with WMP and I've tried with Control Panel. When I remove them from CP and restart my comp they're BACK..!!!
What can I do - any suggestions?

Short of a format/reinstall, all I can think of at the moment (short on time here, need to run in a minute or two) is to give VCSwap a go. It doesn't give you the ability to uninstall codecs but it can let you deactivate them. It's potentially dangerous, though, if you don't know which you should deactivate and which you should leave alone. Expect some trial and error testing...
