HELP! Image Stretching in TMpeg

Is there a setting that needs to be made in TMpeg to make an encode not to appear compressed? Doing to custom centering option and setting it at the original size of the source lowers encoding time, but it doesn't work!

I ALWAYS use clip frame and center custom size for dl-ed movies. I usually encode them into widescreen so the quality doesnt degrade

In TMPGEnc - Settings / Advanced changed the followings to get the Wide Screen effect on your movies:

16:9 Display
Full Screen (aspect ratio 2)

This will cause the movie not to be stretched and retain the DVD like Wide Screen.

hello...try the "No Margin" setting...but you need to increase the bit rate and other filters to make up for the larger resolution it creates....there will be no stretching and it will fit your TV....but you wont get the whole picture...I personally would rather have the black bars top and bottom...better quality and the "whole movie".

I used to use the No Margin, unfortunatly on some TV's it will cut off some parts from the sides of the movie, not recommanded
