Editing an existing dvd menu.

I want to make a copy of a dvd for my friends birthday. Now I was wondering if it was possible to edit the menu and let it say "Happy Birthday" somewhere on it. I dont want to make a whole new menu but I want to edit the existing one and with that keeping al of its functionality. I just want to edit a little detail on the menu background. Is this possible and if this is so what programm should i use. I think it should be able to import and edit an existing menu without (if possible) making me link all the menu's together again.

Note: The menu that I want to edit is animated. (Not with still pictures only)

Not sure if it will do what you want, but you could try menuedit.

Doesn't have a function for changing/editing the background image....
