Has anyone ever tried JVC brand DVD-R media?
Can find very little info on JVC DVD-R.
Ecost has 30 packs for $22.99 and I would like to know if it could be T.Y. or Maxell from Japan, both favorites of mine. I ask because T.Y. and Maxell used to make the JVC DVD-Rs according to the media list.

Any info on JVC Mfg. Part No: VDR47DU30 or VDR47DU5. Where are they made and what is their media code?

The following link shows the style of the 5 pack.

I have ordered some to try out, will be curious to see what they really are.

Hoping they will be a new source for cheap T.Y.

Yes, and I recieved them earlier this week and they turned out to be so ProdiscS03 not TY or MXL.

There is cheaper ways to get ProdiscS03 though.

I have added them to the media database anyway since this is a new type of JVC brand media.

Ran some tests and they seem similar to RIDATA G04 quality maybe slightly better. Burned at 4x no problems with nero 6 on LG 4081B. Played fine on Panasonic DMR-E10, DMR-E20 and Panasonic RP82 players.

Will consider buying more ProdiscS03 type DVD-R in the future.
