    Hello everybody:
    I have installed a scanner software; when I looked into the "Start-> Programs" menu, it had the shortcut to the scanning program [Scan] and also [ScanCopy], which I moved to the deskop, having incorrectly assumed that it is a copy of a "Scan" shortcut. However, it turned out to be a shortcut to the program which directly transfers the scanned image to the printer.
    Is it possible to return that shortcut back to the Start->Programs menu?
    Thx: walter

  2. You can drag it back in.

    If it were so simple, I would not trouble myself submitting a question to this forum.
    You cannot drag it because the Start->Programs menu does not stay open for long once the mouse pointer leaves its "territory".

  4. * Right-click on the Taskbar and select 'Properties'
    * Click on the 'Advanced' tab from the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties
    * Click on 'Advanced...'
    * Double-click on the 'Programs' folder
    * Drag or Copy/Paste your shortcut into the Window

    And disregard everything I just said because I just told you how to do it in Windows 2000 Professional.

  5. right click on the icon and hold the right click down
    drag the icon ontop of the strat button and hold it there till the menu opens
    still holding down the right click go up to programs the to the folder for your scanner

    once you have that folder highlighted, release the right click.
    a menu will popup and say move or copy, select copy
