  1. I've been trying to convert an AVI that I downloaded from Morpheous. It won't work as an AVI. I run it through VirtualDub, then TMPG, and then it's recognized. But then the audio cuts out on the VCD. Has anyone figured this out yet?

  2. there are bout 50 different answers here.

For one, it sounds like u are running it thru VB cuz tmpg is saying its not supported, that s wrong. Go into options, then environmental settings, then VFAPI plugin and move DirectShow Multimedia filter to priority of 5.

Next, audio cutting out, use tmpgenc and never anything else. Play it back on cpu before burning.
Cant play? run XING mpeg Player

If played fine on cpu but not on dvd player, follow these steps-

Your fps is wrong, needs to be 29.97 ONLY
your bitrate is too high, try using cbr lower than 2000 or what is specified on your dvd players specs here.
Your audio quality is too low, use no lower than 44100 Hz at no lower than 96 kbits
