Plextor 708A burner, DVD SHRINK, DVD DECRYPTER, NERO BURN VERSION 5.5.10.42, IMG TOOL BURN. (on PENT 4 2.4 PC), I use MAXELL DVD-R, FUJI DVD-R(TAIYO YUDEN), VERBATIM DVD-R, TDK DVD-R(as long as it's not made by CMC), IMATION DVD+R 4x speed that can be burned @8x, RITEK G04 DVD-R, & cheapo COMPUSA DVD-R (PRINCO) for kids cartoon dvds.

Liteon 411s@811s, NERO BURN 6.3.1.6, I use the same software as above.
    (on PENT 933 PC)

Use what works for you. Too many variables in burning DVD's.

    I use :

    Pioneer DVD-A05 for DVD
Sony CRX-160E for CD (audio, data)

Basically for DVD to DVD I use :

    DVDDecrypter
    Intervideo DVD Copy 2
    Nero

    For 2 movies DVD's I use :

    DVDDecrypter
DVD2One (moving over to Intervideo DVD Copy 2)
    TMPGenc DVD Author
    Nero

    For episode DVD's I use :

    DVDDecrypter
    TMPGenc DVD Author
    Intervideo DVD Copy 2
    Nero

And plenty of hard drive space, at the moment I'm sharing my latest 120GB drive with emulation stuff, but once I buy a 160GB then a drive will be used for nothing but DVD/Video useage, replacing the 'tiny' 17GB with a 160GB

    Current drives are : 17GB, 100GB, 120GB

I used to use DVDShrink or Nero Recode 2, but reading various tests choose Intervideo DVD Copy 2 due to slightly better final quality and ease of use, but I think the built in burning engine is too slow and you have no control over burn speed, so I use Nero to burn instead
