    When I play mpeg files on mediaplayer 9, it frezes the picture but the sound keep on playing.
    What could be wrong?

    I've installed all the common codecs for divx and xvid.

    Try using Media Player Classic. It has a built in mpeg decoder. WMP9 is crap anyway.

    It appears that I am having the same difficulty with .mpeg encoded files playing in WMP9. It has something to do with MainConcept codecs being used.

    Is there a fix for WMP9 that will allow me to play my Mainconcept encoded .mpeg files?

    Could this be something to do with dodgy Mpeg Splitters?
