My uncle has a Tivo, 6 channel audio receiver, dvd recorder, & a vhs/dvd player. But he cant get them all to work together.
But the Tivo only has 2 slots in the back for other 3 components. I suggested he not hook up up the dvd portion of the vhs/dvd combo and just use the dvd recorder to watch movies but he wants all of the components to work together.
The only other thing I can think of to do is buy like a splicer that will enable 2 input wires, red/white/yellow cord; I dont know what theyre called, for 1 of the 2 slots on the back of his Tivo receiver enabling him to have a total of 3 hookups in the back of his Tivo.
And since the Tivo has the option of having the downloaded program record to VCR, it says as one of the choices on Tivo for downloaded programs "Record to VCR". So if he were to get all of the components working together would it be possible to record programs on his dvd recorder instead of his Vhs or even have the option of using either using that choice.
Hope I made sense with my limited knowledge.
Thanks for your time.
