I download an opera and it is compress with DIVX5.1.1 and mp3 sound.
This is one of the few movies that I download where the image is in perfect sync with audio so I can watch it perfectly on DivxPlayer.
But the problem comes when I try to burn it in a vcd.
These is what I do:
*I open the file with virtualdub and save the mp3 audio as a .wav file. (as virtualdub cant handle mp3 I get an error everytime I open the file, anyway I can save it as a .wav and it works the same)
*I open TMPGEnc and use the orginal movie and the audio I extract from virtualdub.
Here comes the problem: the audio works fine but I get a black screen. I read the TMPGEnc common problems and I tried to correct it by giving more priority to VAFPI as it written there but nothing.
Can anyone help me please?
Thanks a lot and sorry for my english.
diego.

I am not sure the answer to your question, but if you plan on doing alot of avi - vcd, or DVD, i would look into this program
http://www.avi-vcd.com/avi-dvd.asp
It only costs around 20 bucks, and it does all the conversions with one click. very simple to use, and pretty stable.
If you are only planning on doing this one AVI file, then it might not be worth it. But dang did this program help me out.
