I just reformatted my computer and re-installed Windows XP. I got into windows and did some stuff (nothing crazy, just install virus protection and spyware blockers - hopefully that is not it), and now WinXP Pro starts scan disk upon booting up and then gives the following error.
File record segment XXXXXX is unreadable.
Has anyone seen this before?
I don't think it is a drive failure, or at least I do not want to think that it is a drive failure. Someone would be really mad (i.e. me).
