    Hello Major,

I'm encoding several mpeg2 files into mpeg1 but i have each time a first frame in a green solid color.

My source is a ripped chapter with Yadex from a DVD. So i've a mpeg2 video track and an AC3 audio track.
Next, i converted the AC3 track in MP2 track ("audio file to mp2 preset).
Then i muxed the video and audio with "Mux as... DVD". (result = MPG)

And finally i launched the encoding process with MPEG1 [.MPG] (mpeg2enc) setting (720x440 PAL if i want a 720x402 in quicktime!!!), Audio in passthrough (Encode Audio checked), Deinterlace filter (not a great result ), Decode with mplayer - PROFILE Generic MPEG-1)

For each movie i got a first green frame...

    Any suggestion?

    Thanks,
    Toche

    Ok, i've find the solution...

The problem is "Decode with mplayer"

With "Decode with mplayer", i've a first green frame and NO deinterlace
With "Decode with Quicktime", i don't have the first green frame but the Deinterlace function doesn't work
With both unchecked, i don't have the first green frame and the movie is deinterlaced

Major, maybe it will be better to unchecked both by default when we choose MPEG1 [.MPG] (mpeg2enc)
