Hi,
Friend of mine gave me a DVD he brought it from asia. I can't play it at my dvd player, but I can play it in my PC. Is it because the PAL/NTSC different or the region different.?
thanks.

its because its a different region. it may be PAL, im not sure about what system asia has.

It might also be because it is poorly copied. A friend bought a pile of these a few months back. I took four of them home. Only one would play on my player (a 4 year old pioneer), but all would play on either the PC or on newer (and cheaper, more compliance tolerant asian knock-off) player.
They were either compiled out of spec, or simply poorly duplicated. That is the problem with bootlegs - quality control just isn't there.
