  1. I've tried many different options in Export Settings (changing the file type, compressor, etc.) and still the deinterlace box in Special Processing doesn't seem to work! I just want to deinterlace the entire movie. But instead I get the same result whether the deinterlace option is checked or not: the exported file shows image tearing/lines. If I set the Always Deinterlace field option for a certain clip, then that DOES work, for that clip. Any ideas? TY

  2. Render your video to an avi. Put the finished avi on the timeline (in a new project of course), left click and deinterlace.

  3. Thanks for replying. That should work although with a bit more hassle. I still don't know why the deinterlace function doesn't seem to work. If there were conditions required for it to work, I'd think they would mention them in the User's Guide. Apparently not.
