  1. I have a few dvds that wont play in my PC. i tells me to check the region.

    Anyone know how to do this or a program that can help?

    Look at the bottom of the back cover of the movie. Usually you will find the region there

    DVD Decrypter will tell you the region plus it will let you rip them even if for example your DVD Rom/Burner is set to region one but the discs are region two etc.

    Once ripped they are region free and can be played with any software DVD player such as PowerDVD or WinDVD etc.
