I am trying to convert non-standard MPEG2 files ( .MPV), that are created from MPEG2Schnitt, standard PAL DVD MPEG2 files using Canopus Procoder 1.5.
The only problem with this is that Canopus Procoder won't read .mpv files! It is my encoder of choice, although I do have access to others, is there any way to remedy this.
The process is as follows:
1. Capture using Hauppauge WinTV Nova USB
2. Demux using ProjectX (Creates .m2v file)
3. Cut unwanted material from .m2v file, MPEG2Schnitt Creates .mpv
This is where my problem lies, any ideas?

Thanks for your advice, I have just dicovered through my own meddling that MPEG2Scnitt has its own muxing option.
You can select "Output after cutting (mux)" and this creates an .m2v and .mp2, and the .m2v file can of course be read by Canopus Procoder 1.5
Thanks for advice in any case!
