  1. i've been reading about the compile error a lot of people receive with dvd-lab 1.3, as i've been running into it too. i've seemed to have pin-pointed the probelm, originating with my cce sp trial-encoded movie files.

my movie is 1:36hr and i used a 2-pass vbr of about 6000kbps. i dont think dvdlab likes this at all.

although i can bring the mpv and mpa files into my inventory without any error messages, as i've said, when i go to compile i get a "serious error has occurred". message.

just wondering if anyone has encoded in cce sp using similiar specs, and output to dvd-lab successfully?

  3. Yet another reason to quit using CCE trial?
I've been using Mainconcept MPEG Encoder and DVDLAb for weeks with no troubles.

  4. ok. i pinpointed the problem precisely: the video that cce produced was fine. it was the adjacent audio stream causing the problem.

in dvdlab, i simply clicked on the audio stream of the movie and deleted it. i then took the source avi audio, saved it to wav in virtualdub, and imported it into tmpgenc and saved as layer II mp2. back in dvdlab, i then exchanged this new audio file in the stead of the one i previously deleted from my movie.

and voila! the project became compliant.

dvdlab is a great product. hopefully in future versions, we can get more specific error problems.
