I am very fustrated. My Hiteker 620 will not play CD-R or CD-RW. It is the same unit as the VDDV DVD-620 with just name change (and same manual), but the later will play the CD-R and CD-RW. Hiteker also makes Apex and they all seem to play these formats. Is there any help or am I just stuck with lower grade equipment?

Is this a firmware issue that could possibly be corrected, or is just a possible hardward laser difference.
