ok here goes
i just bought the jvc vhs/dvd recorder machine - its actually a very nice machine
im making dvds of my vhs tapes - the quality is actually quite nice
on my pc - they seem to play fine
on my apex 1500 dvd player - the rewind does not work - and 2x ff moves like 100x speed
any ideas why? could the apex be going bad?
Thank you!
Allen

Recorders don't have to produce standard DVD-Video discs; depends on the model. Apex might be doing you a favor playing them at all. Of course, computer would play almost anything.
Probably, you'll have to re-author the recorded discs into standard DVD-Video.
