  1. I've learned that making DVDs is not necessarily a quick, easy process, but I've downloaded this one set of AVIs that is complicated enough, it makes me want to find a shortcut.

    What I have is a collection of 41 AVIs. Each one is a track from a DVD. They vary vastly in length, from as little as 15 seconds to over 10 minutes in length. Is there any way to convert them to MPG, AND combine them, AND when joining somehow create a track marker at the join points without my spending a whole day trying to calculate the total runtime of all the files, then joining them, then manually adding 40 track marks???

    I'm probably asking too much of the programs out there, right? ^^;

    Get the culculator out , find a bitrate and batch convert with TMPGenc.

  3. In other words, the answer is "no", right? hehe

    So is it worth combining them and then creating track marks? If I author a DVD with 41 separate movies then it wouldn't play seamlessly, would it?

    You will probably notice slight pauses between files if you author the clips seperately. Some players are better than others in this regard.
