  2. Actually, it sounds like you are looking more for Photoshop. This is the program you need to make DVD Menus.

actually you can use both. i use potoshop for making most of my still menus but i use premiere to make motion and special menus. i usually then use encore dvd to put it all together but premiere can make some great menus and you can use it for still menus aswell if you don't have photoshop.

    cheers

  4. I've got Prem Pro and Photoshop Elements but my authoring program is TMPGEnc DVD Author. Do you think you could give a few more details on how to go about creating the menus with Prem Pro and Photoshop?

  5. I love the integration of PSD files in 'sequence' with Premiere Pro...you put the PSD layers on different layers in PP and can apply motion effects to each of them, such as rotating, blur, etc. Cool. If you need to make changes to the source PSD file you go back into Photoshop to make them and once saved, the file in Premiere Pro is automatically updated. Way cool!

It was easy to learn...I just read about it somewhere and imported the PSD file and applied each layer on separate video layers.

I also make motion menus in Premiere Pro, with sound, and save as an
AVI file - then import as an asset into Adobe Encore DVD and add buttons, etc. That way the first thing a view sees is the motion menu which could be a layered little movie of various clips to come in the movie along with a song that loops and loops until the view selects a movie to view.
