Okay, I am somewhat experienced with DVD Decrypter and Nero... having used the combo to backup most of my DVD collection. But one particular DVD is giving me trouble.

I used DVD Decrypter to load the DVD, as usual, to my hard drive, then started Nero to recode and shrink it. Nero refused. I downloaded DVD Shrink and gave that a try. Same results, but Shrink gave me a little more info... Shrink said it couldn't open the VIDEO_TS.VOB. Now this is mighty strange, because this VOB file is present and works -- WinDVD plays the files from disc perfectly. If I double click that VOB, Nero Showtime plays it also. The DVD in question is 007 The World Is Not Enough.

    Any ideas?

    Hello:

No, my DVD doesn't have anything like that... but I did manage to solve my problem.... I went back to the original DVD and used PC Shrink to rip it, instead of DVD Decrypter... and voila!! It all works fine. The file sizes obtain thru PC Shrink were bigger than those obtained by DVD Decrypter, so I suspect some problem (bug) in DVD Decrypter. I ripped several times with DVD Decrypter with the same results, just to make sure it wasn't a 1 time problem. Anyway, PC Shrink did what was necessary.
