I have always used DVDDecrypter to burn the backups I made with Shrink, but I read that many people recommend are using Nero Burning Rom to burn their backups. Does anyone have anything positive or negative to comment about using Nero vs. DVDDecrypter? TIA

In my experience, there is no clinically "best" way to burn DVDs - the best way is what works for you. A number of different software packages all do a fine job, but the purists will tell you that certain programs don't strictly meet DVD specs. Certain burners perform better with certain media also. In the end it comes down to if they work on your DVD player.
If your backups work fine using either DVDDecrypter or Nero, then the choice is yours. Neither is better or worse than the other when automated through DVDShrink. Disregarding Shrink, DVDDecrypter can only burn images whereas Nero provides a lot more options. If in doubt, Google it.
