Video late from sound

Hi everybody.
I have subj problem and here is details:
I captured video from my camcorder without any compression - 50 minutes about 10Gb. Sound and video fine. When I try to compress it with DivX or Xvid video late from sound and it is later to the end of the movie. First 5-6 minutes it is ok and than at the end about 3-6 second delay.
I have movies from inet with different type of codecs and they're working fine. I'm using Ulead VS7. My system is P4 1.6, 512RAM, 160Gb UDMA HD

Please give me advise or link where I can find something about it.

i would first try to re-install the codecs you are using. also get rid of any codecs is you have a lot of them. sometimes they interfere with each other. you can also try to use a different program to convert to divx/xvid.

reinstal codecs - done
reinstal whole system - done
play with different sequence (codecs, software) - done

I'll try to use Pinnacle....
any other ideas? please!

well for DivX - it was 1500-1600 bitrate with default settings and mpeg3 sound with 160,44,stereo...
For XVid I took default settings..

OK. As long as everybody keeps silent I think they don’t have such problem. Then I’ll try to be maximum specific:
My computer hardware you can see.
As I mentioned before I have WinXPpro with all updates, Ulead Visual Studio 7, multimedia essential codec pack, Divxpro 5.11 full version.

Now here is what I've done:
Captured video from my DVCamera with 720x480, DV type 1, Dv audio NTSC, 29.97 frames, Field order A.
Length of the movie is 25 minutes - and it takes 5Gb
After that I did "create video file" with following parameters:
UleadVideoStudio: PerformSmartRender
General: Data track - Audio and Video
Frame rate 29.97
Field order A
Size 720x480
AVI:
DivX511
Performance/quality slowest, 1 pass, 1600bitrate, deinterlace all frames
Audio
Mpeg Layer 3 , 160, 44, stereo

After 8-10 hours I've got file 300Mb where video starting being late from sound at the beginning and at the end difference about 5 seconds.

Please, GOOD PEOPLE! HELP! Why??!!
