I've never really seen bluish keys on a piano before, so I kindda figured there was a color discreptancy. I thought your library would be bigger than mine. Mine is like that on 3 walls in a room. The 4th wall, has an Andy Warhol print on it. It's the one with the 4 cars on it in grey & green.

Look at the book on the piano....Sure I can see whites having a blueish tone, but not brown/tan....especially since the book looks correctly colored

As I said before,it would be funny to see a depraved post(such as this one) turn into an academic one. This one has gone from bathroom disgust to the comparing of libraries

I hate it when you get those dry, stuck-on, crusty "turd balls" (dingle berries) and try to pull them out, but just end up ripping your ass hair out by the roots !!!

I can't reach around with scissors and squatting naked over a mirror with the scissors is kind of dangerous!

It's worse when you've missed a few and you have a healthy poop pushing against them. Just gotta bite your lip and wait for the hairs to come out by the roots. OW

  8. Yeah -- I know what you mean! Having a turd forcefully breach the "cross-rectum hair-bridge" can be excruciatingly painful. The closer the hair is to the anus the more extreme the pain !!!!

All the more reason to shave your ass !!!

I believe it's safe to say we are back on track with this thread.

Imagine being gay and having fused butt hairs. Of course, then you'll have somebody to make sure all the hairs are cut, so that situation is probably not likely to happen. Of course, I wouldn't trust another person, let alone myself, with scissors near my anus or testes, but gays are used to having things shoved in their A** anyway. Do gay people Blue Dart?

no damn you, i wasn't finished on the library!!

your library looks like waterstones cap - you just need a cappucino maker in there *waits for cap to post a picture of his cappucino maker*

I was trying to see if i could identify any books, i though i saw a title i've got called "leaving earth" about the russian space programme, but i'm not sure - perhaps books have different covers other side of the pond?

what's your choice then? sci-fi, fantasy, historical, anything-concering-vinyl or something else altogether?

oh, and nice piano been a few years since i played and don't have room for one now...

    whose silver bust is that?

No. One camera was a 35mm and the other was digital. Different color settings, but you can see the 35mm one (with piano) was much more bluish. The pic with the couch shows closer to the true color of the carpet.
well the brown pages in the book on the piano aren't blue

There is no book on the piano. I'm calling blindness on this one

The color shift is terrible with that pic. The bust is actually gold and it's Frederic Chopin. I think Stiltman saw part of the piano's harp and thought it was a book The harp is a reddish-gold in real life. Either that or he just can't stand the thought of me having a library when he doesn't :P

I'll try to find a better pic that shows the piano and the carpet. The piano is now in the adjacent room so we have a place to put up our Christmas tree. I'll put up some pics of that if I can't find another one with the piano in it

Edit: Flan, to answer your questions, the piano was my mother's since she was 17. The graduated from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, and that piano was the one she used every day. It was her pride and joy. It's also the one I started playing when I was 5, took 8 years of classical lessons on it, and after my dad died in 1999 and we had to sell his house, I had it sent to Albuquerque because there's no way it should leave the family.

I like sci-fi, medical fiction thrillers like Robin Cook, Stephen King, Clive Barker, too many to mention. I also just finished reading the Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. I am also a fan of the pulp series from the '70s called The Executioner by Don Pendleton. I have all 38 of his original books from that series and I'm reading them now. I like them because of the weaponry and violence

Here are some more pics of the room. The earlier pics show the piano in the room. I always liked the piano in the library, but it left us with nowhere convenient to put the tree on the first floor, so since those pics we moved the piano out into the music room where we now have the piano, my stereo system, and a 125-gallon fish tank.

Since then we've moved the piano out and changed the room slightly. It's where we put up the tree every year. Also, the walls are now robin-egg blue and not off-white anymore.

As you can see Stiltman, all of the pictures taken with the 35mm showing the piano in the room have a bluish tint. Clearly it's the same room, and clearly the carpet isn't two-toned. The later pics showing the tree in the room were taken with my Canon digicam and the color is much more accurate. The more I see that first pic, the more I think you were looking at the piano harp (frame that holds the strings and sounding board) and confused it with a book because of the angle of the pic.

And, Stiltman, you're only supposed to jerk off until your vision blurs, then stop

We also took down the sheer curtains when we repainted the room and put up horizontal blinds. The front window had vertical blinds when the piano was in the room, but they're also horizontal now, and match the color of the walls.

  24. We rednecks don't have libraries...

Although I have to confess. After much thought, I've decided to pull a home equity line of credit. You see, I figure if the Resident Nuclear Whore can have a baby grand piano, SO CAN I!

So, anybody want to gently inform Indolikaa how much a reasonable baby grand piano costs?

This one is the same size as ours (5'3"). Yamaha grand pianos are arguably cleaner -sounding than Steinway. I've only owned one Yamaha in my life, but I'd love to have another:

    http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/ContentDetail/ModelSeriesDetail/0,6373,CNTID%253D2...200400,00.html

This one, the GC-1 is $21,843 USD here:

Of course you can get a lesser brand here from $4,000 to about $10,000:

Stilt, You're seeing the crossmembers of the piano's harp. Look at the piano. Nobody stores books laying on the strings of the piano.

You're seeing the gold-colored harp crossmembers. You can see their layout by looking at the pics taken from different angles.

I made this to help you see it better. I numbered the two crossmembers that seem to have you confused. The ones called "1" and "2" are the same from all angles:
