  1. Hi everyone! There's only this issue that i cant seem to be able to workout.
I encode divx/xvid to full d1 720/480 720/576 or half d1 352/480 352/576, the dvd looks absolutely great, nice colors, no pixels, very smooth but of course everything depends on the source, if the source is good the final dvd will be good aswell. But the problem is that on darker scenes (not all) or say for example you are watching the film and someone is talking and on the background there's just a wall, on the edges looks like that some weird shadows appear or looks like that the background color is kinda moving, i hope you understand what i'm trying to say. Looks like this apperas on scenes with little motion or no motion at all and on the edges. If you dont understand me can at least tell me how do i paste here a screenshot of what i'm trying to describe to you???
    THANKS IN ADVANCE!

to do a screen shot, hold down alt and press print screen. paste it into photoshop or paint, crop it a bit and save. then just follow the instructions on the posting screen.

I think i know the effect you're describing. it's an artifact of how Divx/Xvid/Mpeg4 works. you get a Keyframe (basically a jpeg) at the start of a scene, and then 200-300 delta frames after it. delta frames just describe changes to the picture. subtle changes aren't always picked up, so areas of a similar colour appear to "stick" to the screen, and as people move slowly they leave video junk behind them.

Not a lot you can do except stop watching Divx

Things like this problem happen when you use highly compressed video as your source files. There isn't much you can do.
