    TYG01
    MCC 01RG20 (Verbatim Datalifeplus 4x DVD-R)
    MCC 003 (Datalifeplus 8x DVD+R)
    MXL RG02

Whenever I can get my hands on some TYG02, MCC 02RG20 and MXL RG03(all 8x -R) those will probably top my list. From Japanese sites I've seen that have tested them, they are as good as their 4x ancestors.

The Verbatims are sold in some online shops in the us (www.shopperwiz.com), the 8x TY's can be had from www.mediasupply.com and a couple of other places. I haven't seen the 8x MXL's yet though, but haven't really looked either.

I've only used Ritek discs so far. Well, except for 2 or 3 Melody discs that I bought when I first got my burner.
    I like the Ritek 4x -R(G04) - for movies
I use the Ritek 4x +R(R03) - for data backup
I also use Ridata 8x +R(R03) - for data backup
So far the only bad burns that I've had were because of problems I had with an external burner plugged into a crappy USB2 hub.
I've been using Riteks partly because of the good rep they seem to have on this site, but also because they are really cheap.
    50 4x -R\+R for $32 US from a local shop.(Regular Price)
So far I have burnt 100 discs with no complaints. All in the space of about 2 months.

  18. I started out with Verbatims DVD-R last year when i firt got my burner, they were great, but expensive, i bought a Memeorex -R, it was pure crap, coaster(glad only bought ne to try) then i got some Maxell -R's they were awesome, only had one coaster and a quick call to Maxell and they sent me a replacement which worked just fine. Also have some Maxell +RW's that are great. Since then ive just been using TDK -R's since i caught a few good sales (before they stared making some crappy ones) still have a bunch of those, just order a 50 pk of white top maxell's from buy.com so ill be set for a while.

    So Bascially:
    TDK's (if they're good)
Verbatim (dont know so much about them now form what ive been hearing)
    and Maxell

Riteks GO4 and sony dvd-rs at 4x I always purchase the riteks at computer shows here in NY and the sonys at compusa when they are on sale ,and my lite on and sony burners never made bad burns with these 2 brands. And finally my DMR-E80H loves them too.
