My wife has a bunch of Minicassettes that she would like to convert to MP3/CD. I also have a bunch of cassettes my self that I'd like to save. What would be the best software to use w/ the Canopus?

Nick,
Don't know why you would want to use the ADVC-100 rather than a good sound card. There is lots of software that enables you to easily control the sound levels for audio capture which is critical.
Having said that, I have used my Canopus for simply capturing audio before acquiring a good sound card (most onboard sound chips are pretty lousy--at least mine). I used Scenalyzer (see tools section). The advantage is that it enabled "wav" only captures (no video) plus the ability to split your files realtime during capture.
Hope this helps.
