  1. hi,
i'm getting a few strange errors when using tmpgenc (version is TMPGEnc Plus 2.5, paid for). i emailed pegasys, but they are a little slow in replying, so i thought i'd try here.

first: when trying to use mpeg tools to cut portions of a file, i get this error:
    could not initialize directshow (0x800401F0)
    Detail: (weird)
(weird) means characters that i can't reproduce.

second, when trying to encode a divx or xvid file into mpeg1, i receive these two errors (sometimes one, sometimes both):

    runtime error 216 at 0004C024

write error occurred at address 77FCCA14 of module 'ntdll.dll' with 00000000

any help is most appreciated. the program had been working fine, but on this particular machine, something has definitely happened.

thanks in advance for your help.

You have changed versions of NTDDL.dll . Something overwrote it.

    1) Reboot
    2) Uninstall TMPGEnc
    3) Reboot
    4) Delete the old TMPGEnc folder
    5) Re-Install TMPGEnc
    6) Reboot

    Works nearly every time.

  4. correction - i can now use mpeg tools, but i get the error messages when trying to convert divx or xvid to mpeg. converting mpeg to mpeg works fine. any ideas? i've removed and reinstalled the divx and xvid codecs.
