    as the subject says how would i put 2 mpg files into one .mpg?

    You can join them with TMPGEnc. Go to File>MPEG Tools>Merge and Cut.

    You can use the MPEG Tools in TMPGEnc (free for mpeg-1). File > Mpeg Tools > Merge & Cut. Load the two mpg-files in right order and select output file name. Run..

    The files need to have same bitrate, framerate etc. Or you have to reencode them.

    I personally don't recomend merging mpg-files if they store audio, I always get it out of sync, especially mpeg-2 files. I keep it as two files instead, I prefere a small glitch on a VCD for 1 sec rather then out of sync sound the whole movie
