Is it possible in XP Pro to turn off hyper threading by application?
I would like to leave it on globally on my PC but selectively turn it off for one or more applications installed on my PC. Is this possible?

if the application has support for the control, yes, otherwise i don't think so. it may be possible with a registry hack - google is your friend

if you assign a task to CPU 0 only then that task isn't using HT anymore. -
