NO DISC

Well just started trying to burn VCD's . But hane been burning playstaions and other cd's without a problem. I am using a hp 7200 burner and Roxio Easy Cd Creator 5 software. Have tried 5 different medias and still having same problems. The DVD player is a DVP NS 300 and when I insert disc it says No Disc. Tried playing on computer with a vcd player and by opening the dat file and it says No Header The error number is 2147746698 I am folling the directions i downloaded from here for easy cd 5 But it acts like the disc isnt closing. Have burn't a lot of coasters trying and read everything i can find. Any one out there have any idea whats going on?

Try burning with VCDEasy from the tools section, it will tell you the exact status of your disc creation, if the resultant discs work then it's Easy CD Creator, if not then it's your burner or player.

I take it your dvd player is a sony. I have a sony dvp 560. It's very fussy on which media can work in the dvd. My sony dvd only reads cdrw's and sometimes it has trouble with a vcd that has worked before. The problem most likely is your dvd player but you might try playing your vcd in a different dvd a friends or try it at a different model at a store.

its a sony but the comparison chart here seems to say it will work on it. dont know not having any luck here
