    Hello again,

I know similar questions have been asked before about this sort of thing, but I don't think any really pertain to this topic. I am the owner of the Canopus ADVC-100 and Adobe Premiere. When I import video from my analog VCR or camcorder, I notice noise at the bottom of the video. I know there are ways to remove this after the capture but I would kinda like the process to be simpler. I was wondering if there were settings in Premiere or another program, to cut out those lines WHILE doing the capture. That way, I could skip the step of cutting out the noise. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Short answer ... NO

The Canopus ADVC-100 simply converts analog video to DV video. You should be then capturing or rather transfering that digital data being sent to the computer from the Canopus ADVC-100

You can't "alter" it as you capture to DV AVI

So you must crop and fill after the fact which is very easy to do and doesn't really take up much processing time anyways so it's not a big deal as I see it.

Thank you, I guess I'll just have to remove the noise after the capture.
