I-author, Easy CD Creator, and CD Mage

hello.

i got a little problem concerning the above. when i create a cd image using I-Author (using the patch, since its for a 80-min-cd), and try to burn it using Easy CD Creator; it fucks up. no matter what i try i never seem to be able to burn the cd. the funny part however is that i can create "normal" cds; eighter 74 minutes or 80 minutes


After looking through the forum for a while i learned about a program named CDmage. which should be able to convert my little easy cd creator cif file into something i CAN burn.

but the cdmage program doesnt work. some "sector boundry is incorrect" error and thats it.

anybody knows what i am doing wrong? please tell me.

First make sure you have the latest beta version of CDMage, not the latest final release. After you select save as and select bin and cue you MUST change the packetsize to 2352.

Also I-Author apparantly has a bug where it limits the number of menu's you can have. If you have too many than you will get errors, however the number of allowable menu's is very large, and you may never need that many for even the most complex menu structure.

Also, at what point are you getting the error? Is it when you load the .cif or when you try to save it as bin and cue? From my experience if Ez Cd Creator will accept it then CDMage definitely will.

That's very weird. I need to change the package size to 2336. Otherwise the SVCD is not playable on my Mustek DVD player.

I tried all combinations and all kinds of burner software.
I use I-Author, CDMage, Nero Burning Rom (not the latest version - has bug). I use 74, 80 and 90 min. cd's. They all work fine.

I have been busy for weeks trying out all combinations.

belive it or not, but i got it working.

only thing is i cant use a still picture intro cuz my DVD wont take it. oh well, i guess i just have to use a streaming video .

ps packet size aint no problem at all here. no matter what i choose
