  3. OK. WHEN I ENCODE SOME AVI FILES TO DVD THE AUDIO IS OUT OF SYNC. AFTER TRYING TO RELOAD THE SAME FILE AGAIN I GET A MESSAGE SAYING NO VIDEO DATA. AND AFTER TRYING TO ENCODE THEM IN MAIN CONCEPT ENCODER, I THEN TRIED LOADING THE SAME FILES IN TMPEG. THEN I GET A MESSAGE SAYING CAN NOT OPEN FILE. BUT THE FILE USED TO OPEN BEFORE I TRIED IT IN MAIN CONCEPT. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME OUT.

  5. they are avi files. but they used to open before i encoded this certain avi file after that finished encoding the audio sync was out. so i tried encoding some different files. some avi files in the same series of a programme i had down loaded did the same (out of sync) but not all of them. then i tried n about 6 other files i had down loaded. they all opened up fine and encoded correctly (well the first 5 minutes i encoded them for so i could just check them).
the next day i came to encode the files i had tried the previous day (the ones i tried for 5 minutes just for checking purposes) but i just got an error say no video data. i then tried opening them in tmpeg which they have opened up in before now just says, cannot open file (avi).

    thanks

  6. Conflicting codec issues?
Open the files in gspot, and tell us what codecs they use for audio and video, framerate, bitrate etc.
If a file can be opened one day, it should be able to be opened the next.

    That sounds plausible.

Do you have to put a password when you play the file in WMP?

  9. ok man i ran a couple of files in gspot heres what it said:-

    1st file: video = xvid, bitrate = 990kbs, qf = 0.202 bit/pixel. audio = id'd as mpeg-1 layer 3, bitrate 148kbs vbr, frequency 48000hz.

    2nd file: video = divx5.0, bitrate = 934kbs, qf = 0.166 bit/pixel. audio = id'd as mpeg-1 layer 3, bitrate 128 kbs cbr, frequency 44100hz.

    what is a dbr issue?

and no i dont have to enter a code anywhere.

    thanks.
