  1. I recently reformatted my hard drive and then reinstalled this program...the serial went in just fine and everything.

i made a backup of miracle and love actually using dvd decrtypter then this program..

    1. It wont finalize
    2. It doesnt' go all the way up to the disc limit but stops at 4.1 gb
    3. The files can only be seen by nero disc information

i dont know what's wrong with it

i also tried lotr return of the king and it had the same problem in 2 disc backup..

    does anyone have any suggestiongs??

i re-read ur problem, and it could be crappy media w/ defects toward the outter edge, as many crappy media have. what brand/media code are u using?

  5. it's not crappy media..i use beall's...i burnt one coaster in my lifetime with these...besides the retarted four that i coasted lately.....

anyways.....i had the program send the files to the hard drive so i could look at them...they stop short

    love actually at 3.91
lotr return of the.... at 4.10

that might be the way to go, it seems you're pretty set on using IVDVDcopy. if it were me (wiping my hard drive is not something im keen on doing, unless i absolutely have to) i would switch programs...but if ur that happy w/ the IV product, by all means go for it, sounds like your best option after a possible registry cleaner/checker.

Intervideo dvd copy 2 has a lot of problems the people at intervideo have aknowledged. The old version works just fine. They are supposed to be fixing it,but who knows how long that will be.Get your money back and wait for the fix.I did,and i'm back to using 1.2.Most of the time now i use clonedvd with anydvd.Great combination of software.

  10. quick solution...do not use it to burn. use Nero, convert to image and burn with Decrypter, etc.

  11. well i finally fixed this problem...after two hard drive formats and seven coasters (i never burnt these many coasters in my life....im really mad), and uninstalling and reinstalling programs almost 50 times......i found out that it was system mechanic that was deleting registry values!!....i was looking in all the wrong places and it finally popped up...

so now that i'm done.....after seven coasters...i ask myself if it was really worth it...to keep this program.......i dont know anymore.... it has many many issues..

    1. Sizing...sometimes comes out to 4.25 and sometimes 4.20
    2. Messed up playback....starts the movie on a wrong chapter.....
    3. Just really fuckin fussy

however it still is a good program imo...it has some advantages

    1. Simple
    2. Burns so my xbox recognizes the disk

As far as the encoding goes..alot of people say that the picture quality is terrible..honestly i can't see a difference.....

anyways thanks to the people that replied...

I know what you mean by "i can't tell the difference". I have used Intervideo 1.2,clonedvd2,Instant copy7 and 8,dvd2one,and shrink, and unless there are artifacts,or very obvious glitches,"i can't tell the difference". You get so many differing opinions around here, but you also get so many different setups and operators, everyone's results are and should be different. We need a trusted test lab, using the same setup to run tests on all of the programs before i'll believe there is much difference.
I know there have been tests done.Point me in the direction of a trusted tester who has checked the latest versions of these programs, and i'll believe it.

I've read that anydvd has problems when run with both the first and second versions of dvd copy. So I switched to Clonedvd and haven't had any problems. I've used dvdcopy 2 with anydvd for awhile and then all of a sudden it stopped working and disabling the macrovision.

I use Any Dvd 3.8.2.3 and it works just fine with version 1.2 and version 2. I have not had any problems with either one excellent programs both make a 4.29 gig disc, sometimes 4.3. I was using 1.2 but I have been using version 2 lately has more features plus i dont see any pixelation or blocking or white lines in version 2 like some of the others are having issues.
