I recently installed Pinnacle Instantcopy. During the install, I was cautioned that some settings would be overwritten and that this may cause other app's to lose functionality. Foolishly, I agreed to this.
Now when I try to burn DVD-Video files to blank DVDs using Nero Ultra 6, it fails, telling me the "Drive is in use by another application." I assume it's referring to my DVDRW drive.
I have uninstalled Instantcopy and Nero and reinstalled Nero, but get the same error.
Has anyone experienced this and, if so, were you able to restore your settings so that Nero will work again?
Thanks in advance for any replies - I'm really bummed about this. I was just getting started doing my DVD backups and now I'm stuck...

  2. I believe your problem might be related to Instant Drive that is installed along with Instant Copy. I suggest you find the registry cleaning tools for both Instant Copy and for Nero. After you clean the registry, reinstall IC without Instant Drive Then install Nero.

InstantDrive in IC8 and InCD in Nero are 2 apps that always seem to cause problems. You should be able to get Nero and IC8 to work together (I do).

I'll never use Nero's Clean Tool again, I had to reinstall all my burning apps after it's use.

Pinnacle also has a reg cleaning tool.

Thanks for the response. I did find a reg cleaning tool for Pinnacle, but it seems to be just for the Pinnacle Studio programs. Do you know if it would also apply to Pinnacle Instantcopy?
