  1. Hi,

    i m new to this forum. found it be kinda interesting providing all sorts of info. i m thinkin about buying a dvd player. i would like you guys to recommend something that will work good with my home theatre setup including an Onkyo SR501 receiver and Bose Accoustic Mass 15 home theatre speaker system. i noticed that some of the dvd players now have an ethernet port...!!!! could anyone explain what is it for...!!! i m into comp networking so it kinda attracted my attention....also what r the key features i should be looking at when shopping for a dvd player..

    Would you please tell which DVD players have an ethernet port. I've seen USB and Firewire but never an Ethernet port. This would be a great idea.

    Networked DVD players are used to stream audio and video from your computer to your HT system. A great solution for some, but they are NOT capable of transmitting HDTV signals.
